HIGH QUALITY PE

At All4Sports our main interest is in teaching high quality PE to Primary Schools. Since 2008 we have provided this to a large number of schools in the Preston and District area and further afield.

We can supply your school with a year-round sports provision that is tailored to match your individual requirements. We cover all aspects of curriculum PE working to detailed lesson plans, including those from the Lancashire Scheme of Work App. We can also provide detailed assessments of the children for use in reports or tracking their progress throughout school. We are also experienced in conducting and recording baseline assessments for KS1.

We provide exciting, fun and informative lessons delivered by experienced and enthusiastic coaches that maximise the participation and involvement of the children. Each lesson is based around lots of praise and encouragement in order to promote a lasting positive experience of sport which will engage them in exercise and healthy living in the long term.

We feel that for children to get physically active, they need to feel confident in activity settings. That confidence stems from having learned fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills – physical literacy – as a child. Just as learning the alphabet is necessary to read, the development of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills is critical if children are to feel good about physical activity.

Many schools use our PE programme to cover teachers' PPA time, to great effect. Others take advantage of our staff CPD programme.

Through our CPD staff support programme, in which teachers are trained during lessons, we feel that we are not just replacing the class teachers but are improving their ability to teach PE and therefore creating a lasting legacy of improvement in school sport and PE.

PPA COVER

Many schools use our PE programme to cover teachers' PPA time. We offer schools a fantastic opportunity to ensure teachers have adequate PPA time each week, while pupils benefit from a professional enriched Physical Education provision. You can book one or two coaches to deliver curriculum PE or any activity the school wishes to have. You can also use this time to have CPD support for Teaching assistants.

Due to the nature of PPA cover your teaching staff may not get to see their pupils performance in PE for a long period of time and still have to write a report for them. To combat this we can assess the children for each half term with a rating and give any relevant comments . In addition we can also identify Gifted and Talented students and feedback this to the class teachers.

STAFF CPD SUPPORT

Through our CPD staff support programme, in which teachers are trained during lessons, we feel that we are not just replacing the class teachers but are improving their ability to teach PE and therefore creating a lasting legacy of improvement in school sport and PE.

Each teacher receives a planner and identifies targets they wish to improve on for each specific subject or sport. Over the following 6 weeks they work towards achieving them during the lessons through observation, one to one discussion with the coach and taking part. Notes are taken for each lesson and recorded on the planner which will be kept in the PE folder for reference and evidence for any OFSTED inspections.

So many staff members have benefited from this personalised CPD programme as it is specific to the individual. As a result they have become more knowledgeable and have grown in confidence teaching different aspects of PE which in turn has had a positive impact on the children.

Early years foundation stage children enjoying PE lessons with their coach
EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE (EYFS)

After working in the Sports Coaching industry for 10 years and working with SureStart on a 3 year project on the EYFS developing links with Primary Schools and Children Centres, Graham founded ALL4SPORTS COACHING LTD in 2008. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength working with a number of Primary Schools and Nurseries in the Preston & District area and further afield.

Through this experience we feel that Physical Education in the EYFS is sometimes a little overlooked. At All4Sports we understand how important these formative years are in a child's development in both Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional development. (PSED)

Our fun, imaginative, structured sessions are designed to not only teach the children all the fundamental skills like co-ordination, control, and movement but to also prepare them for the smooth transition from free-play to more structured teaching in KS1.

We strive to support children from an early age to achieve Physical Literacy. This is the mastering

of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills that permit a child to read their environment and make appropriate decisions, allowing them to move confidently and with control in a wide range of physical activity situations. It supports long-term participation and performance to the best of their ability.

As strong positive role models we also help children to understand the importance of physical activity and healthy choices with a large emphasis on PSED: Working hard to Promote good social skills and learning how to manage their feelings; to understand appropriate behaviour in groups; and to have confidence in their own abilities.

LUNCHTIME ACTIVITIES

All4sports also run lunchtime sessions. Our aim is to engage as many children as possible throughout the lunch break. This can be done with coach supervised structured fun sessions often including many traditional tag games and activities or by setting up various stations and zoned off areas around the playground providing different sports and Activities.

As so many children are occupied and engaged in a structured environment, behavioural issues during the lunch break are dramatically reduced. We can even work with welfare staff to improve their knowledge of possible lunchtime games and activities.

The feedback from children and staff is extremely positive and outline the fantastic effects a structured lunchtime can have on the school day.

These children are so excited to pick teams and start the match in our super fun holiday club
HOLIDAY CLUBS

Are you looking for something for your children to do during the school holidays that will keep them fit, healthy, active and entertained all at the same time? Our Holiday Sports Clubs are the perfect option. Instead of sitting at home playing video games or playing out on the street your children will be safe, active and in an environment that supports learning and new friendships.

We can offer your school various holiday courses to suit your needs and those of the children:

  • Multi - Sports Clubs - These are a mix of everything and give the children a chance to try lots of different sports and activities like: Tennis, Dodgeball, Dance, Gymnastics, Football, Netball, Hockey, Tennis, Cricket etc.

  • Football Camps - Children can develop their football skills and techniques and participate in tournaments, matches, drills and games.

  • Dance Clubs - Our Holiday Dance clubs offer children the chance to try various dance styles, learn routines and perform to parents. From Street Dance to Cheerleading and Musical Theatre the children will be on the West End in no time!

Not only do our holiday clubs promote a healthy lifestyle through sport participation but also help the children to develop self esteem, increase confidence and improve their social skills.

Most Holiday clubs are paid for or part paid for by schools from their sports premium money and many team up with other schools in their cluster group or local partnerships to make the clubs more cost effective and well attended.

TEAMBUILDING & PSED

All4Sports can offer your school range of team building activities that can be enjoyed from Reception to year 6.

Whether this be helping the children work together, listening to each others ideas or simply taking turns, our activities can help build the children’s team work skills in a fun, yet educational way.

Through problem solving games and group challenges the children will be inspired to communicate effectively, work together, encourage each other and be a team player.

This in turn with help children to develop self esteem, good social skills and learn how to manage their feelings; to understand appropriate behaviour in groups; and to have confidence in their own abilities.

Each programme of Teamwork lessons can be delivered over 6 week period or a half term or can be taught as a one off full day. They are flexible and can be:

  • Built in to your curriculum PE programme

  • Used on annual team building days or Friendship weeks

  • Used in an Anti-bullying initiative

  • Used for classes that are struggling to bond

  • Used as additional learning/targeted support
